Playgroup - November

Abel likes to drive the bus at the playgroup. Sometimes he would take one or two friends with him in the bus.

He also loves these bikes. He scoots them very slowly while the older boys just race past him.

Parachute

The boys were at Playgroup doing the parachuting activities.
Lots of laughter and lots of giggles.

Fishing

I noticed Noel gets lots of satisfaction from home made toys especially ones that's he's improvised from things he found around the house. He found a stick and my old belt and he decided to make them into his fishing rod. He asked me for something blue to make a sea and I gave him his baby blanket. He then asked me to cut out some fishes for him. Then he asked me to put sticky tape at the end of his fishing rod so the fishes would stick to them.

After he fishes them, he puts them in a plate. Below he cooked them with his veggies at his kitchen and showed them to me.
That kept him entertained for all morning.

Courgette

This year, I bought a courgette plant from the sale table at the Horticultural show. After 2 months, it started fruiting.
but the courgette i get is very tiny and they are about 12cm long. I wonder if it's due to lack of fertiliser.

Brothers getting ready for Spring Festival

Our church does a Spring Festival every year to provide alternative to halloween festival. Abel dressed up in his japanese costume and noel dressed up as Spiderman.

The two of them posed for some photographs before we went to church for the festival.

Raglan 2 - Bridal veil falls

Noel asked me to interpret the information.


We were at the top of bridal veil falls.  It is aptly named as it looked just like a bridal veil.

At the platform ..the waterfall is 55m tall.

At the bottom of the waterfall...the waterfall is not suitable for swimming as the water flows from the nearby farms

The climb back up the  carpark was very tiring for me. Guess that shows my level fitness..A few times i had to stop to take a breather. My heart was pumping so hard i can hear it boping.. and i almost felt like i am having black out.

Splish, Splash , Splosh

We found another one of this paddle pool thingie at The Warehouse. This time I picked this one, simple and not complicated like the Pirate Ship. This took 20minutes to fill up. After that, the boys played inside for 1 hour plus. THey would have loved to stay and play forever but I dragged them out. Scary thing is they had gone couple shades darker from all that play. It was the one and only time for me to set this up for them. Subsequently, the weather was just too crappy for me to take the hassle to set it up.

小白

小白is MIL's pet rabbit for 3 weeks. The boys loved to pat it and feed it with lettuces, cabbage leaves, carrots and silverbeets.
Sadly FIL gave it away one Sunday or maybe he threw it away? It remains a mystery. I hope it found a good home.

Trip to Raglan

We made this little trip to Raglan in October. The town had an old wooden jetty bridge. It also had nice beach. We decided to have fish & chips for lunch.



Noel found himself this chip longer than his face.

There's a walkway around the reserve thingie and quite a few people fish there.
Noel with his big mouth told me, "Mum, there's no fish here, why do they fish here?"
Me super embarrassed, quickly dragged him away and ask him to keep quiet.

We tried to look for the wooden jetty only to find out they had it replaced with the concrete one. It was a lot less charming than the old one.

Next we headed to the beach. It was a surf beach. Heaps of surfers in their wetsuits and surfboards. The boys were happy playing with the black sand.

Smurfed

Noel enjoyed the movie. Not quite sure about Abel.

Tree climber

While Noel is having photos taken by jake, me and abel were stuck in some gondwana land. We somehow got split in part of the garden, and Abel wanted to touch every single pebbles on the ground, so i was starting to get real annoyed and had to take the long winded way to get back to the general area of the garden.
