The main attraction of the Sun Moon Lake area is the Nine Tribal village and also the theme park. It was an all inclusive entrance of TWD 780 per person (which includes the return cable car ride, entrance to the theme park and the cultural village)
We caught a show of tribal dances by all the different tribes of Aboriginal Taiwanese. I can't stop comparing their costumes to all the various Sarawak indigenous tribe and to me, they were very similar.
Below is a rack of display of enemy skulls! They served to protect the tribes.

Some tribes lived in houses on high stilts.
Here visitors are given opportunity to play some tribal game.
